The real tastes and textures of India are found in the stalls and vans serving up mouthwatering panipuri, crunchy bhelpuri, or spicy pav bhaji. Horn Ok Please (HOP) was established in June 2011 to transport this from the streets of India to the streets of London. More than just food, HOP aims to provide a portal to a culture where street food is an integral part of everyday life. We have kept the recipes as original and simple as they are on the streets of India.

With HOP you don’t just get flavoursome food – you get a complete experience from the moment you arrive. As every dish is made to order, adding to the theatre of street food, we are able to tailor the food according to each customer’s individual preferences. Additionally our dishes have been designed in such a way that we are able to incorporate seasonal and local produce.

All of our dishes are vegetarian. Most dishes can also be made vegan and/or gluten-free.

THE TEAM

Gaurav is the passionate chef in the duo. He loves cooking and has developed the menu and recipes for HOP to reflect the tastes and aromas of the streets he remembers and rediscovers on his travels back home. G, as he’s known to friends and colleagues, has long wanted to follow his passion for cooking and street food. With HOP he has finally found an output for his creativity and menu creation.

Sandhya is the typical foodie. She was born in South India and was brought up on the most amazing Keralan home cooking and later travelling the World. Sandhya expanded her palate and found a passion in food. Leaving a career as a town planner to follow this passion was an obvious step.
